I really enjoyed this animation. I thought it was brilliant to turn a pineapple into an octopus, because they do seem to resemble each other's forms when flipped. My suggestion would be to stand the octopus up in a more vertical way, it sort of looks like a spider crawling away instead of an octopus floating away.

I also thought it was a great idea to keep all of the seaweed (or whatever) moving as if the viewer is really at the bottom of the ocean watching this all happen, very cool!

You could also go back and add a few more frames into the part where the pineapple first floats down the screen, there are a couple of choppy parts.

Overall, the animation works really well, and it fun the watch.

  2. Great animation and transformation. I like the background movement also. The concept of the pineapple changing in to the squid worked well because of the objects looking somewhat similar. The lines where nice and clean. Only thing would be what heather said about the crawling of the squid. Otherwise great job on your project.

  3. Emily-

I really love that you have a background in your piece, and it moves too! The pineapple's entrance onto the stage is original, and well-done. I think you chose the right creature for the pineapple to turn into, based on their sort-of similarity in features and shape. The transformation was smooth as well. Like Heather pointed out, I would just adjust the timing of the frames when the octopus walks off stage because it does appear to be gliding faster than the legs are pushing it.

  4. I like the animation overall I enjoy the transformation and the connection that you made between a pineapple and an octopus. One of my suggestions its maybe to add something to the water in the beginning when the pineapple is swimming because it seems like its flying and it looks a little weird having the plants moving… Also when your octopus is walking there is a piece off sand that maybe was attached to the octopus and it moves with it, maybe try erasing it. I enjoy the quality of the drawings
