Karly's Project 3

The Owl and the Pussy-Cat

  1. Technical:
Everything seems to be working great; the "next" functions are smooth. The wave animation in the first page is a nice touch and very smooth. Even more animations would be nice too. The water sound is nice for that first page, but need different sounds for each page or a more universal sound for all of them.

    Aesthetic:
The paper-cut-out look seems to suit the cutesy feel of the story; the waves and clouds that move work well for that. There are some issues in the page that begins "They dined on mince.." with the owl animating. His wings need to be placed behind his head. I like that you hand drew/colored your images.

    Concept:
Has a playful, fantasy-feel, and your aesthetics and animation seem to fit well for that.

  2. Over all flow is good and smooth and I like how you use color pencil like material for all the drawing. It look like illustration book drawings and the theme is constant. In some of the drawings have a white line... maybe you could use photoshop to fix that. You used a creative way to solve the problem ^^.

  3. hey i really like the idea of having everything with the cut out look i think it goes well with your story..the project flows well and visual aesthetic is good.. it think it would be really nice if the characters were animated i think the cat it's the only one the opens and closes the eyes , however maybe having the other characters could be nice... nice having the waves, the boat ,and and the sky moving.. i think the design work well however maybe having your type done by hand ,, could be better, it would go better with your project..... nice project overall like i said before the idea of the cut outs it's really nice and children like. good job.. good use of sound
