Jack and the Beanstalk

The actionscript does not work, having a lot of issues! it jumps around and looks ridiculous but you should still be able to follow the storyline...

  1. Soss I feel that your have an execellent handle on narration and illustration. The way you visually communicate in your work is amazing. I am truly in awe every time I see your projects. Each character has it's own unique personality and you capture the essence of that through line quality and color. It is a gift. I know that your action script is not working like you hoped it would. I think if you get a good nights sleep and tackle this thing again sometime this week you will knock it out and you can rest assured that it turned out the way you envisioned it. This is a project you should be proud of though. I think my favorite part is that fact that there is no real page...each scene blends in with the next.

  2. JESSICA...
More and more I am impressed by your illustrations! I loved how the story is set in todays time (and jack is still selling a cow on the streets!) The story had a great sense of flow and if there was even no text I would be able to know what was going on. I would have liked to see how the buttons worked but I understand that you are having trouble with the ActionScript. Great job again!!

  3. I love the illustrative feel of your pieces. I got a little confused with the navigation. I am assuming the leaf was to be the next button? Did you put a stop command at the beginning of each page in the action script layer? that would have told the flash to stop and then play when you hit the button. The overall layout was good. You had good compositions within your pages. The animations looked quite nice and smooth. The speed of the animations bothered me. The text flashed by almost so fast that you could not read it. But the was caused by the action script not you, so overall a nice piece. Without those action script problems the piece would have been smooth.
